Director Profiles

Dr. Tryphina Dube Takaza

is a seasoned academic and development practitioner with over 17 years of experience in food security, livelihoods programming, and value chain development, complemented by seven years of university-level teaching in agriculture and disaster management. She brings a strong blend of academic expertise, applied research, and practical field experience across both humanitarian and development contexts.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Agribusiness Management, along with Master of Science degrees in Animal Breeding and Biotechnology and Disaster Management. Her academic background is further strengthened by qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation, Agricultural Management, Development and Disaster Management, and Education with a specialisation in Agriculture.

Dr Dube Takaza has an extensive consultancy track record, having led and contributed to research studies and end-of-program evaluations for NGOs, civil society organisations, and international donor institutions. Her work has focused on resilience, livelihoods, food security, humanitarian response, and disaster risk reduction, with particular expertise in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), governance, and social accountability.

Her professional strengths include risk assessment, climate change adaptation, capacity building for vulnerable communities, and the development of sustainable crop and livestock value chains. Known for her strong planning, facilitation, and presentation skills, Dr Dube Takaza is an adaptive and high-performing professional committed to delivering impactful, evidence-based solutions that support sustainable development outcomes.

Kea Noko

is an agribusiness executive and operations leader with extensive cross-sector experience in agriculture, engineering, and industrial manufacturing. He is a graduate of Esigodini Agricultural College and completed civil engineering training at Mohawk College in Canada. Kea has held senior production management roles in manufacturing plants in Canada and the United States, where he led high-output operations and implemented efficiency-driven systems to optimise productivity.

He currently oversees eight animal husbandry farms and manages more than 1,200 hectares of arable land, specialising in large-scale poultry and livestock production. His professional expertise includes farm management, livestock production systems, operational efficiency, and strategic agribusiness development. Kea is committed to developing commercially viable and sustainable agricultural enterprises across Southern Africa through disciplined management, innovation, and strategic partnerships.

Thabani Mpabanga

is an accomplished agribusiness and farm management professional with over 25 years of experience across large-scale commercial farming, development projects, and environmental consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Management, a National Diploma in Agriculture, and a Diploma in Development and Disaster Management, providing him with a strong foundation in agronomy, livestock production, and project implementation.

Throughout his career, Thabani has held leadership positions including Ranch Manager at ARDA, Project Manager with the Lutheran World Federation, Operations Manager at Phaki-Phakanani Environmental Consultants, and Farm Manager roles at AGRIFRESH and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation. His work spans large-scale crop and livestock enterprises, smallholder farmer support, value chain development, disaster management, and sustainable agricultural practices.

Thabani’s expertise includes livestock and crop production, farm operations management, artificial insemination, pasture and herd management, and project monitoring and evaluation. Known for his strategic thinking, collaborative approach, and ability to implement practical solutions, he is committed to advancing sustainable and commercially viable agricultural enterprises while building the capacity of farmers and communities.
